A short guide to what Vox is, how a channel is set up, and how workers and handlers use it.

Last updated 2 November 2026.

What Vox is

Vox is an annual workplace reporting channel for UK employers. Workers report without an account. Before sending, they can exclude a named handler. Reports are encrypted in the browser. A subscription is a reporting channel; it does not make an employer compliant.

Who it is for

UK employers with 50 to 499 people, and the HR consultant who already advises them. There is no plan for fewer than 50 people.

Set up

Add the organisation, invite handlers, choose categories, and publish a reporting link. Download a QR poster or put a short paragraph in the staff handbook.

Reporting

Anyone with the link can submit from a phone or computer. They see who handles cases and can exclude someone before the report is sent. If every handler is excluded and no alternative recipient exists, the report is not accepted.

Follow-up

Submitting creates a case key. That key is how the reporter returns, reads a question, and replies. Handlers decrypt on their own device. Vox stores ciphertext and does not hold the reporter’s key.

Security summary

Browser encryption with libsodium, passkeys and TOTP for staff, EU (Frankfurt) data residency, and a tamper-evident audit log of staff actions. See the security hub and encryption guide.

Pricing

£1,190 a year for 50 to 199 people. £1,990 a year for 200 to 499 people. Unlimited cases. No per-report charges. See pricing.
