Vox

Workplace reporting for UK employers.

Vox is an annual encrypted workplace reporting channel for UK employers with 50 to 499 people, and for HR consultants who advise them. Workers report without an account, can exclude a named handler before sending, and data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt). A subscription is a channel; it does not make an employer compliant.

You can reply

The reporter comes back with a case key. No login.

Follow up, without asking for an email.

A case key is how the reporter comes back. The question is encrypted to that key. Vox stores ciphertext, and the server never holds the key.

James Turner is excluded. An admin cannot put him back on the case.

The reporter decides who is allowed to read it.

Before sending, they see the named handlers and can exclude anyone. An excluded person cannot open the case, and a report with nobody left to read it is not accepted.

A tamper-evident log

Every staff action is hash-chained. The log records who did what, not the report itself.

Notes that stay encrypted

Internal notes stay with the case, and only people allowed on it can read them.

Encrypted before it leaves the screen.

Reports are encrypted in the browser. Vox stores ciphertext and does not hold the keys that can read it. Full detail: security hub · encryption guide.

People speak up when the route does not go through the person they are reporting.
Vox is built not to store an account, an email address, or the reporter IP with the report. The facts of a report can still identify someone.

What Vox is, and is not.

Short facts for HR, legal, and board readers before they buy a channel.

What it is

An annual workplace reporting channel for UK employers with 50 to 499 people. Workers need no account. Reports are encrypted in the browser. Handlers can be excluded before send.

What it is not

Not a compliance certificate, not legal advice, and not a managed telephone hotline. Buying Vox does not make an employer compliant.

Who it is for

UK employers in that size band, and HR consultants who already advise them. There is no plan for fewer than 50 people.

Questions employers usually ask.

Short answers about what Vox is, who it is for, and how reporting works.

What is Vox?

Vox is an annual workplace reporting channel for UK employers. Workers can raise a concern without creating an account. Reports are encrypted in the browser before they are stored.

Who is Vox for?

Vox is for UK employers with 50 to 499 people, and for the HR consultant who already advises them. There is no plan for fewer than 50 people.

Do workers need an account to report?

No. Workers report without an account. They receive a case key so they can come back and reply without email or login.

Can a reporter exclude their manager?

Yes. Before sending, the reporter sees the named handlers and can exclude anyone, including the manager. An excluded handler cannot open the case. If nobody is left who can read it, the report is not accepted unless an alternative recipient was chosen at setup. More detail: handler exclusion guide.

How much does Vox cost?

Vox is billed annually. It costs £1,190 a year for organisations with 50 to 199 people, and £1,990 a year for 200 to 499 people. Cases are unlimited. There are no per-report charges. See the pricing page.

Where is Vox data held?

Data, backups, and processing are hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt) on Render. Reporter IP addresses are not stored with the report.

Does buying Vox make an employer compliant?

No. A Vox subscription is a reporting channel. It does not make the employer compliant. See Worker Protection Act 2023 and channels for related context (not legal advice).

What is the difference between anonymous and confidential reporting?

Anonymous means the organisation does not know who wrote in. Confidential means handlers know who you are but should limit sharing. Vox does not require a worker account; facts in the text can still identify someone. Full guide: anonymous vs confidential.
